Brewhead Pulled Chicken

Brewhead Pulled Chicken

So tender and juicy this showstopper nearly pulls itself!

Try it with tangy Brewhead Carolina Beer-BQ sauce and a side of Brew Slaw (also pictured).

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: About 1 hour
  • Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Chicken:
6 boneless/skinless chicken thighs (sub breast meat if you prefer)
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2-3 tbsp Brewhead Craft Seasonings Sweet & Smoky Beer-BQ Rub

Braise:
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
12-oz beer (something not too bold, light beer or pilsner are both perfect)
2 tbsp Brewhead Craft Seasonings Sweet & Smoky Beer-BQ Rub

Instructions:

  1. Heat grill to high
  2. Sear chicken for about 3 minutes on both sides
  3. While the chicken is searing, combine braise ingredients in a grill-safe pan (I used a disposable aluminum pan)
  4. Reduce heat to medium (depending on your grill, shoot for around 375F)
  5. Add chicken to pan and tightly seal with foil
  6. Allow chicken to braise for 1 hour
  7. Remove chicken from pan and pull with forks or your fingers
  8. Toss pulled chicken with your favorite sauce or whip up a batch of our Brewhead Carolina Beer-BQ sauce.
